Tip: Create an Engaging Live Broadcast
Community Strategist Jono Bacon has a tip on community building. One of the most important elements of building a community is to get information out there so people know what's going on. A great, fun, and engaging way to do this is through a live broadcast. But just watching a broadcast can be boring. This is where Google Hangouts On Air comes in.
Once you set up the Hangout, click on the links button. This will give you a link to embed that Hangout on another website. Then you can use Kiwi IRC and point it to a network called "Freenode." This will allow you to embed a chat channel underneath the Hangout, so people will be able to participate in the broadcast and ask you questions as well.
