Tip: Keep Up with Your Email

Ron Richards, cohost of All About Android, has a great email productivity tip. Ron is a big subscriber to the 'Getting Things Done' method, as well as 'Inbox Zero.' The key thing he's taken away from those philosophies is to not use email as a to-do list. When you receive an email, immediately either respond to it, archive it, or move it into a folder of things you'll take action on later. Don't leave it in your inbox. That's how you end up with thousands of unread messages.

To make this easier, you can pair your email with a to-do checklist app like Evernote, Google Keep, or Wunderlist. Then when you get a message with something you need to do, add it to your to-do list and then archive that message right away.
