iOS Pick: Wine Apps
Alex Lindsay's pick of the week on MacBreak Weekly 591 is Vivino. This is an app for researching and buying wine that's tailored to your tastes and preferences. Just take a photo of any wine label to find out the price, ratings, reviews, food paring suggestions, and more.
This app goes really well with another wine app, PerSomm. This provides wine recommendations from expert Sommeliers based on your individual tastes. It will choose the top 10 wines for you, and show you the closest restaurant to try them. The more you rate wines in the app, the better the recommendations will be.
Then once you have your own wine cellar, you'll need Corkz, which is a wine database. Enter all of your wine into the database, and it will even alert you when it's the best time to drink it.
