App Pick: Obscura Camera

Rene Ritchie's pick of the week on MacBreak Weekly 570 is Obscura Camera. This is a camera app for iOS. One of the things Apple hasn't done, and likely won't do, is put a lot of manual controls in its stock camera app. It's meant for people to just snap photos and get good results without having to fuss with it too much. Apple has, however, created APIs for developers that lets them do things like pull out the HDR, color, and other raw camera data to make apps that let you tweak those settings.

Obscura gives you a lot of control and power over what you do with the iPhone camera, but it's all in an interface that's very simple and accessible. If you want to take the plunge and go beyond Apple's built-in camera app, but you don't want to get into something really complicated, Obscura is a great option. This is a great way to just get your feet wet with manual controls.
