More Surface Duo rumors

  • Peek (a-boo)
  • 6.18 release date?! nah
  • When will Microsoft drop Live Tiles and move to the 10X UX for all flavors? Maybe soon(ish)?
  • Semi-related: Any updates on the Surface Laptop 3 screen cracking issue?
  • After a few weeks, what do we think about Duo, Neo and Windows 10X? Any new observations?

Google reverts to its true self, again

  • Google expands bogus warnings about the new Edge. WHY? MJ: Expect this to blow over soon

Windows 10

  • Version 2004 is done-done: ISOs are here, another step toward public availability
  • Windows 10 version 1909 is now on 22.6 percent of Windows 10 PCs
  • Icongate. Some new icons don't make the Windows 10 apps any better, and seriously they are too blue people
  • Edge heads out to Release Preview

Azure Sphere GA

  • Microsoft's Azure Sphere, its Linux-based microcontroller plus cloud service, hits general availability.
  • What's the impact here? And why did this thing take two years to come to market?

Office 365/Microsoft 365

  • A couple of tips, sort of…
  • There is one version of Microsoft 365/Office 365 that makes sense for individuals. Which one and why.
  • Anyone with Office 365/Microsoft 365 can use that account to sign-in to Windows 10. Should you?

Mobile

  • Microsoft Defender ATP is now in preview for iOS, Android. And Linux too
  • Tracking protection comes, in turn, to both iOS/iPadOS and then Android.
  • OneDrive goes Fluent on Android

Xbox

  • Here are the Xbox One Series X specs
  • Xbox One gets yet another Dashboard update
  • Games with Gold for March
  • xCloud gets new games but only on Android because Apple is terrible

Tips and picks

  • Tip of the week: Enable Secure DNS in the new Edge. It's not just Firefox and Opera: You can do this in the new Edge too!
  • Game pick of the week: Black Mesa. After 14 (!) long years in development, the port of the original Half-Life to a more modern engine---and now made legit---is available!
  • App pick of the week: Stardock SoundPackager 10. Continuing its theme of filling in the blanks in Windows, Stardock this week released a new sound scheme manager called SoundPackager 10.
  • Enterprise pick of the week: More Microsoft cloud regions are coming (some time). Microsoft has announced plans to open cloud datacenters/regions in Mexico and Spain some time in the future. These new areas will be serving up Azure, O365, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
  • Enterprise Pick No. 2 of the week: Mover file migration tool is now available to O365/M365 users
  • Beer pick of the week: Equilibrium Super Fractal Koru Set. It's NYC Beer Week. So many local beers, so little time. Equilibrium's Super Fractal Koru Set is named after the Koru, a New Zealand Maori term for a spiral shape that constantly evolves to symbolize new life and growth and resembles a fractal set. This is a tripel IPA (10%). Equilibrium, based in Middletown, Conn., was formed by a bunch of former chemists. So this all makes sense.
